OBAMA FAST AND FURIOUS GUN SCANDALObama Operation Fast and Furious Gun Scandal By Delwyn Lounsbury - THE DEFLATION GURU Obama's Operation Fast and Furious gun scandal is now turning from a crazy idea by the ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) Department of the Federal Government to foster the sale of weapons like AK-47s to criminals then track them in Mexico into a full blown assault on the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and even President Obama along with higher ups in the Justice Department apparently may have known about the botched sting operation. Holder bragged about the operation back in 2009 when visiting Mexico. Operation Fast and Furious entailed actually helping get 2,000 assault type weapons into the hands of the Mexican mafia drug cartels. Now the guns (most of which the ATF lost track) are showing up as far south as Honduras. The plan was also known as "Operation Gunwalker" and "Project Gunrunner." The ulterior motive in the whole escapade was to demonize the right to bear arms granted by the Second Amendment of the Constitution. Right! "Big Brother" Obama wants to take away our guns! President Obama is in cahoots with the Anglo financial power elite in the plan to take the last of our freedom and liberty and set up a one world government. Honest gun shops and gun owners are being smeared. President Obama committed sedition when he disobeyed our rules and regulations and he committed treason when his shenanigans involved another country – Mexico. Obama has now graduated to fascist tyranny. Obama wants to control us like pawns in his Marxist game of grow the size of government. Lies are being told. There appears to be perjury relating to Eric Holder's testimony to Congress plus Justice Department obstruction of the probe. A big cover up is in full force. The liberals and mainstream press wanted carnage on our southern border so they could blame and clamp down on gun owners and dealers. The next step was to limit to one the number of guns a gun dealer could sell at one time. It's already law that gun stores cannot sell more than one hand gun at a time. The insidious plan began to unravel in December of 2010 when Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was murdered and two of the AK-47 type of automatic guns from Operation Fast and Furious were found at the scene. The family of murdered Agent Brian Terry is considering suing the federal government. In the past the FBI has been sued three times and the U.S. Government was made to pay millions to informant victim’s families. Even the IRS was sued for $1 million for failing to supervise one of their informants who then committed murder. Terry family lawyer Paul Charlton said, "If the evidence shows Brian's death was proximately caused by the negligence of the federal government, there may be a cause of action." Congressman Darrell Issa, chair of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, started hearings on how the ATF helped sell thousands of guns to known criminals. The Fast and Furious guns are still being discovered at crime scenes throughout Mexico. What a scandal. A congressional report released 7/26/2011 revealed 122 firearms from the botched ATF operation have turned up at crime scenes in Mexico and only half of the 2,000 weapons sold to gun traffickers have been accounted for. Reuters reports having been told by Sen. Charles Grassley, senior Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, that an additional dozen weapons were found at crime scenes in the U.S. Issa has stated the following: "How is it that the No. 2, 3, 4 at the Justice Department all knew about this program, but the No. 1 didn't? Is it because he said 'don't tell me'? Is it because they knew what they were doing is wrong and they were protecting their boss? Or is it that Eric Holder is just so disconnected..." Whichever it is - he knew and he's lied to Congress, or he didn't know, and he's so detached that he wasn't dong his job - that really probably is for the administration to make a decision on, sooner not later." The Obama Administration thinks they can trample over the Constitution, grow the size of government, redistribute all the wealth and change free market capitalism into socialism. Socialism never works. It sucks the lifeblood out of an economy. Business people just give up even trying. We are fast and furiously becoming a fascist nation. Stand up for liberty before it is too late! If we let them take our guns and let the FBI wiretap us at will (yes - The Patriot Act), what will they take from us next? Two of the approximately 2,000 guns that ATF let criminals walk away with were found at the murder scene of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry in December 2010. “ATF agents have shared chilling accounts of being ordered to stand down as criminals in Arizona walked away with guns headed for Mexican drug cartels,” said Rep. Issa. “With the clinical precision of a lab experiment, the Justice Department kept records of weapons they let walk and the crime scenes where they next appeared. To agents’ shock, preventing loss of life was not the primary concern.” “These agents have risked their lives working for the ATF and they’ve risked their careers by coming forward to speak the truth about a dangerous strategy that was doomed from the start,” Sen. Grassley said. “The report shows the street agents’ perspective on this risky policy to let guns walk. It should help people who are wondering what really happened during Operation Fast and Furious understand why we are continuing to investigate.” Highlights of the report include: •The supervisor of Operation Fast and Furious was “jovial, if not, not giddy but just delighted about” walked guns showing up at crime scenes in Mexico according to an ATF agent. (p. 37) •Another ATF agent told the committee about a prediction he made a year ago that “someone was going to die” and that the gunwalking operation would be the subject of a Congressional investigation. (p. 24) •The shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords created a “state of panic” within the group conducting the operation as they initially feared a “walked” gun might have been used. (p. 38) •One Operation Fast and Furious Agent: “I cannot see anyone who has one iota of concern for human life being okay with this …” (p. 27) •An ATF agent predicted to committee investigators that more deaths will occur as a result of Operation Fast and Furious. (p.39) •Multiple agents told the committee that continued assertions by Department of Justice Officials that guns were not knowingly “walked” and that DOJ tried to stop their transport to Mexico are clearly untruthful. In fact, the contempt charge document has already been drafted. The Los Angeles Times reports: "Republican House leaders have drafted a proposed contempt of Congress citation against Attorney General Eric H. Holder, Jr. in which they charge that he and his Justice Department have repeatedly ‘obstructed and slowed' the Capitol Hill investigation into the ATF's flawed Fast and Furious gun-tracking operation. "The 48-page draft citation is being drawn up by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. Top committee officials recently met for most of a day in the House speaker's office and were given the green light to proceed toward a contempt citation, according to sources who declined to be identified." This breaking news has also been verified by the Associated Press, CBS News and Politico. Details are still not available on exactly when the papers will be served on the Attorney General. An unnamed official of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee has told the Associated Press that "a final decision on the citation has not been made." The bottom line: The contempt citation could be circumvented if the Justice Department reversed its stance and turned over the 80,000 documents requested by the committee.
Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), chairman of the House Oversight Committee, gave the 48-page draft of contempt charges to House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH). CBS News has reported that the "green light" to make ready the contempt citation was already received by House Republicans. However, Boehner and House Republican leaders have not made the absolute final decision to proceed just yet, in spite of the drafted charge. It reportedly will charge Attorney General Eric Holder and the Department of Justice of obstructing the congressional investigation. Congressional staff members report that the Oversight panel does NOT need approval to proceed. Apparently, the direct, imminent threat of an actual contempt charge will give Holder "one last chance" to produce the requested documents. On Fox News on Thursday, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) said that if the Attorney General does not fully respond to the subpoena by May 28, "contempt of Congress charges will proceed." Of course the contempt motion would need a full House of Representatives vote. If the vote is passed, Congress could seek implementation through the federal courts. However, Holder could get yet another "second chance" to comply if the Department of Justice would quickly comply without an order from the court. Before this 48-page contempt charge draft came to light late last week, the Department of Justice continued to assert that it has been "complying" with the subpoena. Yet, only more than 6,400 pages of documents have been offered. That is not even ten percent of the 80,000 documents that were originally requested! Where is the sense of reality by the Justice Department? What purpose does it serve to fool, or to outright LIE to Congress and the citizens of the United States of America? Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT), said on Friday that the U.S. Congress may hold the Attorney General in contempt due to the slow response to their subpoena. Chaffetz said: "We have issued a subpoena. We have bent over backward to be patient and take time. He is leading us down a path where we have no other choice (than to issue a contempt charge). That's what I'm worried about. There are other options on the table. We can end this tonight if the Department of Justice will turn over these documents and hold the senior-most individuals at the Department of Justice accountable for their actions." Attorney General Eric Holder had SIX opportunities to tell the truth in congressional hearings with Congress. He had over one-half year to comply with the requested documents. Yet, the stonewalling continues even to this day. Hopefully, this final drafting of genuine contempt charges will produce the truthful evidence that has been requested for so long. Eric Holder MUST RESIGN as Attorney General! As the nation's top law enforcement person, he cannot represent the American people with his despicable behavior of not cooperating with Congress....FOR OVER ONE-HALF YEAR!! Contempt charges can be criminal charges. He must leave his office immediately. Please fax today to get every Member of the United States Congress request for Eric Holder's resignation!
Finally, maybe justice will be served to the family of slain federal Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry! Fox News reported: "In a 65-page complaint, served on the government on Wednesday (February 1), attorneys for the family claim ATF 'wrongdoing' in Operation Fast and Furious. ATF's failures were not only negligent but in violation of ATF's own policies and procedures." The government now has six months to respond or the Terry family will file a suit for the $25 million! Will you please fax today so justice can be served to this "sacrificial lamb" federal border agent in this 15-month controversy? Since January, 2011, this Fast and Furious has been investigated by Congress---with little results, thanks to Eric Holder. Maybe Eric Holder is covering for his boss, Barack Obama? In fact, many continue to ask the ultimate question: When did his boss, Barack Obama, find out about the killing of the slain border patrol agent? Holder knew within 24 hours. Holder is guilty of "Contempt of Congress" and must RESIGN! Just as important as the 80,000 pages of documents is the critical testimony of several DOJ officials with knowledge of the failed operation that have been prevented from appearing before Congress, courtesy of the stonewalling by the Attorney General. Yet, Holder still calls the congressional investigation a "political game." Contempt of Congress is a very serious charge that is forthcoming very soon. Please tell Congress to call for Eric Holder's resignation now. P.S. Eric Holder must resign now. He must avoid an embarrassment to him personally and, more importantly, to the country by the upcoming contempt charges that were drafted last week! Fax today.
